Deel and DualEntry Partner to Bring Global Payroll and Finance Together

John Iwuozor leads content, finance, and research at DualEntry. He writes for the people who actually close the books: controllers running month-end, CFOs weighing an ERP migration, accountants buried in reconciliations. Before DualEntry he spent five years covering B2B SaaS and fintech for Forbes Advisor, Ramp, and Infosecurity Magazine. He builds every piece on primary data, including benchmarks, practitioner interviews, and product testing, rather than recycled advice. He is also an avid chess player.

Deel and DualEntry Partner to Bring Global Payroll and Finance Together
We’re partnering with Deel to make it easier for global companies to keep payroll and finance in sync as they grow.
Deel manages how companies hire and pay people across countries, whether that means independent contractors, Employer of Record (EOR) employees, Professional Employer Organization (PEO) arrangements, or Global Payroll. DualEntry handles what comes next – getting that activity into the general ledger across the right entities, accounts, and currencies.
The new native integration connects those two sides directly. Instead of preparing journal entries from payroll exports or manually uploading data into the ERP, finance teams can map Deel to DualEntry and have payroll activity flow into the books for review and approval.
From payroll to the general ledger
Each Deel legal entity can be mapped to the corresponding company in DualEntry, while payroll items can be mapped to the appropriate GL accounts. Deel cost centers can also flow into DualEntry classifications, helping finance preserve the structure behind payroll as it reaches the ledger.
DualEntry pulls the relevant payroll and payment data from Deel and creates the corresponding accounting entries. For independent contractors, entries can be built from the underlying payment breakdown, while Global Payroll entries are created from gross-to-net payroll data. The integration also supports EOR, PEO, and Contractor of Record arrangements.
Payroll data can include gross wages, taxes, deductions, benefits, and employer contributions. Bill records can also carry dates, currency, memos, and line-item detail. Deel service fees are handled separately and post into Accounts Payable as vendor bills.
Built for companies operating across entities and currencies
A company might have contractors in one country, EOR employees in another, and multiple legal entities running payroll across different currencies. Without a direct connection between payroll and the ERP, each new entity or worker type can add another layer of mapping, exporting, and reconciliation for finance.
Legal entities map to the right DualEntry companies, payroll items map to the right accounts, and relevant currency and classification data carries into the accounting workflow.
For finance teams, that means less manual work moving payroll data from Deel into the books. Deel continues to handle how people are hired and paid around the world, while DualEntry handles how that activity is accounted for, reported, and closed.
Together, the two systems give HR and finance a more direct way to work from the same underlying payroll activity.
