Each Justworks pay run becomes a single consolidated journal entry — not one per employee — dated to the pay date and split by department if you want it.

Overview

Justworks handles payroll, benefits and compliance. This integration makes sure the accounting result lands in DualEntry without a spreadsheet in between.

Connect through the hosted widget, map your Justworks company and payroll vendor, then map each pay statement item — earnings, taxes, employee deductions and employer contributions — to a GL account. From there each Justworks payment becomes one consolidated journal entry, grouped by pay statement item and classification, dated the payment's pay date.

Per-employee detail is rolled up rather than posted individually, and an offset line is added automatically if rounding leaves the entry out of balance.

Key Features

  1. One entry per pay run
Each Justworks payment becomes a single consolidated journal entry, grouped by pay statement item and classification.
  2. Every item mapped to an account
Earnings, taxes, employee deductions and employer contributions each map to a GL account, with the debit or credit direction confirmed on setup.
  3. Optional department splits
Create classification lines matching your Justworks department names and journal entry lines split by department automatically.
  4. Tax consolidation toggle
Merge tax items by GL account into one line, or keep each tax type separate — your choice.
  5. Balanced automatically
If rounding leaves an entry out of balance, DualEntry adds an offset line so nothing posts unbalanced.
  6. One-way by design
Data flows from Justworks into DualEntry. Nothing is ever written back.
